I am so pleased to share this new song with SoulTracks.   I have been blessed with an amazing career -- hit songs, sold-out tours, Grammy wins (finally :) ) but  "By The Grace of God" is clearly one of the defining moments in my musical career.  From where it came  I do not know -- but the message is profound.  Listen, ponder and enjoy!

Grammy Award winner Patti Austin is both a living musical legend and flat out one of the greatest singers today.  Her ability as a musical interpreter has won for her millions of fans in the jazz, soul, and pop universe and more than a quarter century of success on the charts.  Earlier this year she won a Grammy Award for her latest album, Avant Gershwin, as she continues to wow audiences around the world.

Inspired by a recent episode of Oprah, Patti wrote the beautiful new song "The Grace of God" and wants to share it with SoulTrackers. "The Grace of God" will be the theme song for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence for 2008/2009, and will also be part of an upcoming album of Patti singing alone with a piano.  If the rest of the album is like this -- well, it's gonna be something special. 

So we're extremely proud to be introducing "The Grace of God" to SoulTrackers as this month's Choice Track.  You're going to love it.
