When I was a teenager, I'd copy down song lyrics and send them to my boyfriend. I'd just write lyrics and hum melodies all the time. Then I started putting my own songs together...
Many years and boyfriends later, the music remains constant and after two years of writing and recording the songs on "Elevated" I am proud to present this album to all of you SoulTrackers! "Elevated" represents my growth as a singer, songwriter, and woman. I sing about life, social issues, matters of the soul. From my heart to your ears I thank you for your love and support of good music and soul artists.

Biography
Cleveland native Dr. E has performed as opening act for such artists as David Hollister and Martha Munizzi in and around Ohio. She has also starred in a number of plays on stage, including the gospel stage play "A FALLEN WORLD" and "AT LAST: CELEBRATING THE LIVES OF SOUL SISTERS," about Phyllis Hyman, Etta James and others.
