Akron, Ohio native musician and producer Eriq Troi has played with many funk and jazz greats over the years, ranging from George Duke to George Clinton.

Eriq is moving to the front now with a brand new album called Blooming Where Planted: A Soundtrack of a City, that combines his years of musical influences with his forward looking musical vision.

Eriq leads off with the catchy midtempo songs, "Something To Remember." Eriq tells us that the song “is a remix of a song by an area artist by the name of Alvin Frazier. I heard this track and thought it had so much energy in the lyrics. I loved this song so I asked him if I could remix it to make it a summer jam. He was very open to it. The rest, as they say, is history. I do hope that you all are able to check out the entire album. ‘Something To Remember’ is but one page in a book to be heard."
