(June 10, 2016) After 7 was one of the great vocal groups of the 90s, with bright-voiced lead singer Kevon Edmonds (brother of Babyface) soaring through a number of big hits like "Ready Or Not" and "Til You Do Me Right." The group reunited a few years ago, with founding members Keith Mitchell and Kevon being joined by Kevon's nephew Jason Edmonds (son of founding member Melvin Edmonds). They were welcomed back with open arms by soul music fans a few months ago, who took the group’s single “I Want You” right into the Top 10.

The group reunited a few years ago, with founding members Keith Mitchell and Kevon being joined by Kevon's nephew Jason Edmonds (son of founding member Melvin Edmonds). They were welcomed back with open arms by soul music fans a few months ago, who took the group’s single “I Want You” right into the Top 10.
After 7 is currently working on Timeless, their first new album in 20 years at Babyface’s studio right now, and they’ve given us another sneak peek that is making us smile from ear to ear. “Let Me Know” is an instant classic ballad, with a touch of Country, a touch of Gospel and a whole lotta soul. And the Babyface-produced number features the harmonies vocals of a trio who simply sound perfect together.
“We have grown as vocalists over the years, but spiritually I believe there is something anointing on this project,” offers Keith. “eOne has been enthusiastic in their support. And the songs are inspiring. Jason has been great and Kevon has put together some epic vocal performances that are going to make the ladies say, ‘Oh, my God!’ After 7 is here to stay.”
