First Listen: B.O.S.S gives us a dreamy "Mind"

"Mind", is a new single by the independent neo-soul group B.O.S.S The R&B tinged tune is produced and composed by B.O.S.S Music’s DJ ABBY AB, with sparse and dreamy vocals written and performed by the lead singer Natalieq. With this tune, ABBY AB purposely composed the song in a non-structured way, emphasizing a "dreamy" vibe through out, yet hanging on to the mid-tempo rhythm as the base of the track, while slightly diving into different genres like a rock guitar solo and a reggae bass groove towards the end of the song, all the while layering in the vocals on top of each other as if it were a trance or mantra. 

The music video for “Mind” is directed, produced, photographed and edited by veteran music video director Abdul Malik Abbott. The black & white filmed, performance-driven music video primarily focuses in on the beautiful and poised lead singer Natalieq, inter-cut with images of DJ ABBY AB playing bass, guitar & keys as well as vignettes with friends of the band, including filmmaker Adisa Septuri, former Fela dancer Aimee Wob, singer Kia Muze, Jamie Slaughter, Conisha Dorsey and drummer & Digital Underground co-founder Jimi Chopmaster J Dright.
