He's been an integral part of the creation of some of the greatest music of the past half century, both as keyboardist and songwriter for The Isley Brothers, and throughout his solo career. The great Chris Jasper is a Hall of Famer, and a living legend. But he is also a musician who is constantly working, and he continues to create one powerful song after another in his continued recording career.

Chris will be returning soon with a new album featuring his versions of some all-time classics. For The Love of You is a disc we've been looking forward to all year. And even though it hasn't arrived yet, Chris is giving SoulTrackers a sneak peek, with his recording of the classic Sam Cooke song, "Nothing Can Change This Love."

Chris tells us, "Since I was a kid, Sam Cooke was a big influence on me. I thought it would be a good idea to cover one of his songs and arrange it in my style and I enjoyed recording it very much. I also think it's important to reintroduce some of the great soul music of the past to today's audience." He interprets the song as a slow dancing love ballad -- the kind where you want to hold someone tight on the dance floor.

We're proud to present "Nothing Can Change This Love" to SoulTrackers as our newest First Listen. Check it out below and welcome Chris Jasper back to SoulTracks.
