Dessy: I wrote the melody and lyrics when I was living in Florida then Ric'key added the chords when we met and began writing music together. This was the beginning of the Ric'key and Dessy team. It's about a letter that I started to write to my mom but never had the courage to send it to her. I was going through an abusive relationship and didn't want my folks knowing about it because I was ashamed and didn't want them hurting knowing I was going through it! We all go through our trials and tribulations in life but mom is always there as a support, no matter what! My rock, my strength. The true essence of love, patience, acceptance and unconditional, Always! This goes out to all the Mom's for their unconditional love and support no matter what we go through! And we don't always do right by them, but it's important to say sorry and let them know how much we love them. I dedicate this to the Queen in my life! I Love you mom! And the other Queen who is looking down on her son smiling from heaven Mama Pageot! To all Moms....on earth and in heaven! Thank you! We love you!
