SoulTracks First Listen: Eliah wants his girl to be "Mine"

Since his humble beginnings in the family church singing gospel, native New Yorker Eliah has always had the dream, the drive and the goal of bringing his own style of music to the masses. “I’ve been in the studio environment around so many artists and producers,” he says. “All those moments were special in their own right and laid the foundation to my informal entrance to the business of music”. From sharing the stage with the likes of Anthony Hamilton to backing everyone from rappers in hip hops golden era to singing gospel legends, The Clark Sisters, Eliah believes that “as long as there are real people in this world, there will always be a place for real good music.”

In this, his self-titled album, Eliah is moving from the background to the front lines.  He says his new song, "Mine," is "the ultimate guy sees lady, guy falls in love with lady and is not afraid to profess his undying love for that lady. The song is about the joy and excitement of new love. No shame. All swag. It lends itself to a time in music in the early 90's where the groups of the day sung about romance but you could dance to the music. Its got a hook that if you play the song more than once you'll find yourfself singing it before you catch yourself. Its flattering to the ladies and cool for the fellas to ride to."

It's a cool song with a nice groove to it. It is also our newest SoulTracks First Listen. Check it out below and tell us what you think!
