Euge Groove has spent more than a decade as a chart-topping saxophonist, composer, producer and radio host. His funkalicious music has been a favorite of both contemporary jazz and R&B audiences. On August 19,   Shanachie Entertainment will release GOT 2 BE GROOVIN’, created over a six month period and the latest installment in Euge Groove’s musical evolution. “It was a blessing to take some time off from touring and really be able to focus on the creating this project,” states Euge.  “I’ve built a great studio here at the ‘Groove House’ and it makes me feel good just to sit in it. I’ll light a bunch of candles, incense, warm lighting, and just open the mind to music. It’s an amazing feeling.”

One of the most sumptuous cuts on Euge’s album is a beautiful ballad sung by Trin-i-Tee 5:7’s Chanel Haynes. Says Euge, "I had the track written to this song and I knew I wanted a vocal. The quest to find the right singer and co-writer began. My wife happened to be at her sister's house in Austin, TX for a party and was helping to clean up when she heard someone singing in the next room. She was freaking out over this voice she heard. It turned out to be Chanel Haynes from Trin-i-Tee 5:7. As it turns out, she married my brother-in-law’s close friend.  Chanel and I got together on the west coast to collaborate. She brought in her sister-in-law to help with lyrics, and bam! Her voice is ridiculous. At times it’s like listening to Toni Braxton, then she goes all Tina Turner on you."

We’re digging this cut and we think SoulTrackers will too. And we’re proud to be presenting the World Premiere of “In Love With You.” Check it out below and give us your comments on it!
