(February 7, 2017) Over the past couple months, Facebook has often been a pretty depressing place to hang out, but sometimes you get a treat. That happened to us as we discovered Gooseneck, a new band with a sound that recalls the horn-filled sounds of Chicago, EWF and especially Tower of Power.

Fronted by The Voice alum T.J. Wilkins, the group struts their stuff on the new EP, Wild Goose Chase, six funky songs with soaring vocals, high-flying horns and deep grooves.

Wild Goose Chase opens with "Ricochet," the story of a love triangle set in New York, where the lead character pleads his case with the line, I'll be the handyman/for your broken heart. It reminds us just how much we miss hearing those horn sections and funky rhythm sections that were so prevalent a few years ago.
