(May 22, 2016) Jon Harrison Taylor brings the history of soul, blues and Stax Music to whatever stage he graces. Taylor is the son on the late Johnnie Taylor, a rangy and talented singer who scored hits on Stax with tunes such as “Who’s Making Love,” “Jody’s Got Your Girl and Gone,” and “It’ Cheaper To Keep Her” before moving over to Columbia and dropping a disco hit “Disco Lady.”

Jon Harrison Taylor is not the only member of the late blues and soul man’s family to enter the business. Sister Tasha Taylor has released three solo albums while also working as an actress. Jon Harrison Taylor latest single is the intense “For Life,” a track that merges funk and a little disco and finds the husky voiced singer seeking to put his love interest’s mind at ease by convincing her that he’s in it for the duration. Check it out.
