The Chairmen of the Board was one of the all-time great soul music groups. But after the death of group founder and songwriter General Johnson, people may have wondered what happened to remaining group members Ken Knox and Danny Woods.

Says group member Ken Knox: "After the death of General Johnson in 2010 we decided to put the brand Chairmen of the Board on the Mantle in General's Honor. Danny Woods embarked on a solo career to much success ...and I, at the request of General Johnson, kept our legacy going with much delight from our Chairmen of the Board fans; thus the birth of KCO.

"We have released the single 'I'm Ready Willin' & Able.' This song was arranged, written and produced by me and sharing lead with me is Thomas Hunter, who joined me in 2010. My inspiration for the song came from growing up in Detroit, hearing the different sounds coming from Motown Records and Invictus Records, which I think gives it a retro feel. Plus I think General was sitting next to me when I was creating it.'

We're glad to hear Ken is back recording and we think you'll like the debut release by KCO, "Ready, Willin' & Able"
