World Premiere: Kejam and Terry Harris give us double the pleasure

People will hear Terry “Outsyda” Harris sing and remark how much he sounds like the late, great Gerald Levert. Well, if you’re gonna sound like somebody, you can do a whole lot worse than have the soulful and passionate baritone chops that recall the much missed Levert. Harris is accomplished vocalist who rose through the ranks the old fashioned way. Harris was a much in demand backing vocalist and his work 20 feet from stardom did not go unnoticed and has emerged as a lead singer.

Listeners can hear what the industry professionals heard on two tracks produced by Dee “Kejam” Majek, one of the UK’s most accomplished soul and dance music producers. Both “Startin All Over” and “2 Can Play” are tracks that we suspect will be immediately embraced by the steppers’ set. However, we believe that fans of ultra smooth R&B arrangements that serve as the foundation for the power packed vocals, merging the sacred with the secular, will also feel this effort by Harris and Kejam.

Kejam tells us, ‘2 Can Play’ and ‘Startin all Over’ are a throwback to the days of 2 step soul of the 80’s and 90’s R&B catchy grooves, where the artists vocals are the instant, main attraction. We are trying to deliver music classy with a breath of fresh air, filling in the musical void in today’s market.”
