So Cal singer, songwriter, dancer and model Kimberly Lola has the whole package. Music has been the biggest part of her life since she was a child living near San Diego. She listened to all kinds of music, but loved R&B most, especially Mariah Carey. She used that inspiration and her natural talents to begin writing and performing as a teen. Kimberly became especially cognizant of making her songs interesting: “I am not a ‘fillers’ artist. If a song I write and record doesn’t excite me, it isn’t going on my album. I can’t expect anyone else to fall in love with my music if I’m not ecstatic about it first.”

Kimberly has just released her second EP, The Light, and one song in particular hit us just right. It is the beat-heavy midtempo, “See Me Coming Down.” Says Kimberly about the song: This song is about losing interest in the person you're dating; once being best friends but now having lost what made your relationship special.  Perhaps that person did something specific that made you change your mind or maybe time has made you grow apart.  See me coming down is a way of saying, I use to get high off of you and now I'm coming down from that; as if the person was a drug.  It's suggesting that, perhaps, the love wasn't real but, instead, an illusion.
