Lenny Williams has been making great music for over four decades now and shows no sign of slowing down. He hit it big as the lead singer for Tower of Power and continued as a solo singer with big hits like "Cause I Love You."
Lenny's song "Still" was a big hit a couple years ago with SoulTrackers and he's now back with a brand new song that has two very different sounds to it. We introduced SoulTrackers to the the US radio version of "Hooked On You" last month. It has a Southern Soul feel and Lenny's instantly recognizable voice up front. He's singing about a man who has had something "put on him" by a woman he's met.
Now our friends at DSG are preparing the Nigel Lowis Remix of the same song, giving it a much more urbane feel, reminiscent of the great Philly soul songs of the 70s. That version of "Hooked On You" will be released on August 3.
