LA--based singer songwriter, actress, entrepreneur and activist Malynda Hale has made a name for herself in a number of place and on a number of formats. But we first learned about her recently as she issued her 4th studio album, Pieces of Me.

The album covers a lot of territory, with a special focus on Malynda’s storytelling. The first single is a good indication of Malynda’s talent. “Gray” is a story with a mixture of melancholy and hope, with a marching drum beat behind Malynda’s great vocals. She tells us about the song, "'Gray' is a song that I wrote with one of my best friends, Kevin Porter, who has also been my producer and engineer for the last 5 years. The song really speaks about being in the friend zone and how you aren't sure where you stand with the other person. It speaks on what would happen if you took that final chance and made the step to explore love rather than holding on to what may never happen. I think the song itself is very relatable and I'm very proud of it!"
