In the piano-driven ballad, Houston humbly acknowledges how much he’s hurt the woman he loves, understanding why she may choose to leave him. But he hopes to change her mind by reassuring her in the chorus, “I just want to let you know that, baby, you completely complete me.” The R&B crooner’s voice is soft and sincere and reminiscent of the sound he put forth on previous songs like his own “Sunset” and on his cover of James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful.”

The release of “Complete Me” also quells any idea that Houston plans to discontinue his musical career because he has become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Even still, the former Immature/IMX lead singer makes it clear that his life as a Christian minister will affect the type of music he releases from this point forward. He said, “I’m really excited to put out good, clean music for my loyal fans/supporters to enjoy. I’m on a new journey in life and I just want my music to reflect who I am…And hopefully people can relate to it.”
The actor/singer performed “Complete Me” for the first time live at the Harbor Event Center in Vancouver, Canada over Labor Day weekend. The single is off of Houston’s upcoming album, White Party, which will be his seventh solo project. The new single and accompanying video are now available for purchase on iTunes.
