Looks like El DeBarge’s splashy reintroduction to the masses in 2010 gave some extra gumption to other long-silent R&B favorites to step back into the spotlight. Some have been received with open arms and others likely wish they stayed incognito, but the latter isn’t likely to occur with Men At Large. Hand-picked by the late, great Gerald Levert and best-known for “Use Me” and the heart- tugging hit “So Alone,” duo Edgar “Gemini” Porter and David L. Tolliver have been working on solo and side projects over the years but decided to make it happen again and give fans a peek into the future with their lush and lovestruck ballad, “Date Night.”

The group tells us: "Date Night is what women really want! Women talk about being wined and dined and treated like a lady. Well here's the blueprint for the Fellas to follow! Stop texting and facebooking and put some work in!  Date Night is the New Normal."

The pipes are velvety, the lyrics are sultry and there can hardly be much protest around a man wanting to cater to his long-term lady (implied by the mention of “no kids”) with a full-on, ‘cater-to-you’ celebration of their love: “I hope you ready, cuz’ I went all out/those ‘red-bottoms’ I bought you, sure turned the mall out.” Well well well, go head Brothers, we’re listening (hint-hint fellas)…
