One look at singer and songwriter Nate Williams, and a look at his origins from the small Welsh village of Llanfairpwll, and you wouldn’t necessarily think “soul singer.” But then you hear his music and find out he’s the real deal.

Williams delivers the goods on his new album, Got To Let Go, a disc filled with a deep groove, musicianship and emotion throwing together smooth glides, funky grinds, animated breakdowns and whip-smart funk riffs.

Says Nate about the title track: This is definitely a favourite of mine off the album (obviously, as it's the title track!). It's definitely influenced by some of the 80s Stevie Wonder stuff like 'In Square Circle'. I think that's what the production of most of the album is pointing to. I'm pretty pleased about managing to get a little bebop line into the middle 8 of this song. I think the sentiment of the lyrics is fairly clear, but I won't go into that. I'll let the listener take what they want from it.
