(February 13, 2017) UK soul music entrepreneur and DSG Records head Gary Van den Bussche contacted us with a new artist who had really impressed him. Gary told us about the previously unknown Peter Symphorien, “Peter voice just gave me those goose bumps as maybe hearing Teddy Pendergrass, or Eddie Levert singing one of those Phiily tunes that you just never get tired of hearing. Nigel Lowis and myself have a lot in common and both bought a Philly Soul single as our first vinyl record as teens.”

Hearing Peter’s new single, “State of Mind,” co-written by Peter and producer Lowis, you get that distinct Philly soul feel, a la Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes circa 1976. It’s getting us moving in our seats, and we think you’ll dig it too.

Check out “State of Mind,” and welcome Peter Symphorien to the house!
