(November 18, 2015) Last year we introduced SoulTrackers to talented new singer and songwriter Rajdulari. The New York-based singer won over a lot of soul music fans with her album Journey of a Woman and the first single, “Natural.”
Since then, Raj has been playing regularly around the East Coast and growing her fans base. And for those wondering when they’d be hearing something new from her, well the answer is…NOW. Rajdulari debuted her bluesy new song, “17,” earlier this week at New York’s DROM. Inspired by her own life, "17" is based on what Rajdulari encountered when she was that age. Raj left home on her own accord because, in her own words, she "wanted to be independent and thought I knew everything". The result - Raj learned about life's hard knocks in an uneasy way. "17" was written from the view of what Rajdulari would have said now to her then-teenage self.
