(March 18, 2017) North Carolina native Reggie Boone brings a wealth of background as an R&B performer who can slip into subgenres ranging from southern soul to steppers cut. He spent much of the 1990s singing with a group called Black Gold that achieved regional success in Texas and the southwest.

These days Boone, who was taken to national prominence thanks to coming across the path of Steve Harvey, primarily sings gospel music. His latest track is titled “I’m Still Here,” and is a reminder that although these old bones might not be as limber as they once were, we still have plenty to be grateful for - with the most important of those things being life. This is a track that shows how adaptable the gospel message can be, as this is a track that finds Boone fusing the southern soul and stepper sound into a song of gratitude and inspiration. Check it out.
