First Listen: Sir Jonathan Williams takes on a Temptations classic

    (August 3, 2016) The RimShots were one of the great backing bands of the 1970s, working with artists ranging from The Dells to Etta James to Ray, Goodman & Brown. A key part of the success of The Rimshots was Sir Jonathan Williams, who has been part of the Sugar Hill Records family since the beginning.

    Jonathan has released a new album that skirts the border between soul and jazz, and he brings along such notable artists as Najee, Clarence Alonzo Oliver and Walter Lee Morris to create a smooth soulful sound.
