(November 2, 2015) There is simply no emerging singer in the soul music world quite like Terisa Griffin. Her sense of both drama and glamor, combined with all the vocal goods you could ask for, puts her at a step beyond so many of her peers. We first heard her nearly a decade ago, when her classic soul-style vocals turned our heads. That was before she blew us away with her 2011 pair of discs, Soulzophrenicand before the rest of the world discovered her from her many notable performances as a contestant on The Voice.

We've been patiently waiting for new music from the talented Ms. Griffin, and she returns November 6 with the aptly titled new album, Revival of Soul. It terrific, perhaps even a step up from Soulzophrenic, and a real vocal tour de force for the pride of Chicago. And we're extremely proud to be presenting the World Premiere First Listen of the first single from that upcoming album. "Tonight Is The Night" is a song of passion, recalling the kind of nighttime ballad Phyllis Hyman may have released during her PIR days. Terisa tells us, "'Tonight Is The Night' is a woman's anthem expressing, while I love you, the time is now or never."

The song has a timeless feel, with a haunting melody supported by restrained but full instrumentation. And Terisa simply kills it vocally, reminding us how much we've missed hearing her over the past three years.

Check out the World Premiere of "Tonight's the Night" from Terisa Griffin. And be reminded what adult soul music is all about.
