SoulTrackers no doubt remember the group Tierra from their huge 1980 hit, “Together.” The group mixed soulful and Latin elements to create a version of the previous Intruders hit that equaled the classic original and made Tierra a household name.
We haven’t heard from Rudy Salas and company for several years, but we’re glad to hear them back with a brand new holiday song this Friday, November 4, written by Salas. It again has that classic soul feel and a memorable tune to go along with it. Rudy tells us, “The new single, ‘Merry Christmas my love’ is very special to Tierra, because it’s the first Christmas song that Tierra has released in its career. It is also very special song to me, because it is a special Christmas love message to my lovely wife Joanna. Also, it is our first endeavor with our new label, Music Access, Inc., which we’re very excited about.”
