The New Jersey native is now spotlighting his powerful singing and songwriting on his hit single "For The Record," and he has a new video to boot! Our Melody Charles wrote that this testament to intimacy in a committed relationship "instantly recalls a circa mid-1980s Prince jam, but Mr. Bland's sly and self-possessed delivery makes the song that much more intriguing of a listen." The video features Broadway actress Saycon Sengbloh (Motown: The Musical) as Bland's leading lady. With tasteful images of sensual romance, Bland's video debut was made to evoke feelings that surely belong on a record.
