Flashback Soul: Sade is Giving Us "The Sweetest Taboo"

The heavens opened, and down came Sade, a vision in white, to entertain us.

Thus was my thinking back in '94 when first seeing the DVD Sade Live containing this performance, and the passage of years hasn't diminished that view. Sade is a one-of-a-kind entertainer, a sub-category of soul and R&B music unto herself, with a voice and style uniquely her own.  It's all on display here, and then some.  Her lilting dance alone starting at 3:22 is simply not to be missed.  She has released other live performance DVDs since this one, but to my eye, and ear, Sade Live captures her best and is a “must have” for fans.   Enjoy.
