Lashun Pace

Atlanta-born singer LaShun Pace first came to the attention of the Gospel world in the 70s as part of the Anointed Pace Sisters, a touring sibling act that gained regional and then national attention by winning a number of major Gospel competitions and culminating with their signing by Savoy Records.  The group reached its peak with 1992's U Know, which hit #1 and stayed on the Gospel charts for over a year.

Pace launched her own solo career in 1991 with He Lives, a solid album that highlighted her strong, beautiful voice, and which became one of that year's top Gospel albums.  She followed it up over the next several years with Shekinah Glory, Wealthy Place, Just Because God Said It  and God is Faithful, and appeared in the Steve Martin movie Leap of Faith.  However, during the late 90s and early 00s Pace suffered a number of personal setbacks, including the death of her oldest daughter, a divorce and a series of physical ailments that severely hindered her career.

Pace returned in 2005 with It's My Time, a solid album that mixed upbeat tunes and spiritual ballads.  She followed two years later with Complete.
