When former Persuasions lead singer Jerry Lawson went solo a couple years ago, it would have been tough to guess that his first recording would be with a band. But that's what's going on with his 4-song EP, Beyond A Cappella. Lawson's distinctive baritone works especially well on the classic rock covers of "He Don't Love You" and "Staggerlee," but he also handles "Georgia On My Mind" nicely.
