I am sorry but this list is somewhat disappointing to me. I do see some I would choose but there are many that would never make a list I compiled. Anyway, that's the beauty of diversity. I know it was very difficult narrowing the list down.
Mr. Soul Track I hope you

Mr. Soul Track I hope you see this. I really enjoy this site but I have got a problem with this list. How can you leave off the # 1 and #2 greatest slow jams of all time. #2 is The Isley Brother "At Your Best, You are Love" Aaliyah's version can't touch this classic. And #1 is Reverand Green's "For The Good Times". Just listen to that song. You can feel the pain in the man's words. He doesn't care about anything but that woman. Baby you can lie to me, tell me you love me. I don't care! Just stay ONE more night. For the GOOD TIMES! Now that's some begging brother! And for the record here's the top three:
1. Rev Al - For The Good Times
2. Isley Brothers - At Your Best..
3. Luther - House is Not A Home
greggie, you got down to

greggie, you got down to what was our toughest decision, which was to include which version of "At Your Best, You Are Love." I personally liked the Isley Brothers' version better, but way more people knew of Aaliyah's (it was her first huge hit) and we made the call to include hers. It's tough when there are thousands of great songs we could have included. Looks like your Luther selection is going well, though!

AWESOME List & I commend you
Mr Mo - January 29th, 2011
AWESOME List & I commend you for compiling it!! There were some minor ommissions (Perfect Combination by Stacy Lattisaw & Johnny Gill as well as nothing from the Ohio Players, Dazz band or Switch) The MAJOR omission is the song that this genres late night radio shows are named after.....Smokey Robinsons QUIET STORM.

Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to add anymore, but they keep popping up in my head now... Walking in the Rain with the One I Love -- Love Unlimited ordchestra; These Three Words - Steve Wonder; Make It Last Forever - Keith Sweat; And I'm not including the ballads that are on my jazz cds... They are hot and are worthy of notable mention.
