New York, NY (December 1, 2015) – Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and American Idol season three winner Fantasia, has signed with Primary Wave Entertainment and is the talent management company’s latest artist to join their roster of top musicians and film/TV talent. The triple-platinum and multi-platform singer, who is known for her powerful vocals and incomparable live performances, is back in the studio writing and recording music for a new album slated for release in 2016. Fantasia is also gearing up for the finale season of American Idol, the show that helped the songstress launch her mainstream music career in 2004, and will be making guest appearances and performances throughout this last season of the hit show, which premieres January 6th, 2016 on FOX.

Fantasia is also gearing up for the finale season of American Idol, the show that helped the songstress launch her mainstream music career in 2004, and will be making guest appearances and performances throughout this last season of the hit show, which premieres January 6th, 2016 on FOX. Fantasia will also perform during the SINATRA: Voice for a Century concert gala on December 3rd, 2015 in NYC, which is a Frank Sinatra tribute to celebrate the music legend’s 100th Birthday and will also include performances by Christina Aguilera, Sting, and many others (airing Dec. 18 on PBS).

North Carolina native, Fantasia (born Fantasia Barrino), rose to fame at age nineteen as the winner of American Idol season three and since then, she has released four very successful albums. Her debut album,Free Yourself, featured the single “I Believe,” which made her the first artist in Billboard history to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 chart. Her second single, “Truth Is,” would later hold the #1 spot on the charts for 14 weeks. In 2006, she released her New York Times bestselling memoir, Life Is Not a Fairytale, and also landed the coveted role of Celie in Broadway’s The Color Purple, which she won a Theater World Award. During the summer of 2011, she released her third album, Back to Me, featuring the Grammy-winning single, “Bittersweet.” To date, she’s sold nearly three million records and 1.5 million digital tracks, domestically, and Fantasia is eager to continue to build upon her successful, award-winning music catalog.
