(March 27, 2015) When Award winning singer-songwriter Stephen Bishop heard about songwriter/musician/singer Jefferson Jones suffering terribly from MS and Parkinson’s Disease, he knew he had to help. Jeff can no longer play the guitar that took him around the world with some of the headlining acts who will pay tribute to him on April 28, or write the songs performed by such renowned performers as Bishop, Art Garfunkel, Johnny Mathis and Alabama. He has steep medical and living expenses that must be met. What better way to raise money than do what they do best, Stephen thought. And he has devoted every waking minute since to gathering his friends and organizing the star-studded concert at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills on April 28 to benefit Jeff.  Dionne Warwick was the first to respond to Stephen’s plea for help.  After all, “That’s What Friends Are For.”

Adding his magical humor, Kevin Nealon will host the musical tribute. Sending their best via video will be One Direction and Michael McDonald with promises of many more. Celebrities will read additional tributes sent in writing including a testimonial from pal Art Garfunkel, who also made a generous donation via www.Gofundme.com/jamminforjones as did Bette Midler, Penny Marshall, Michael Macdonald, Randy Newman, Jeff Skoll, and Eric Clapton, who has performed with Jeff on Stephen’s albums.

The all-star band for this very special show is made up of Lee Sklar on bass, Mark Goldenberg on lead guitar, Debra Dobkin on percussion, Jon Gilutin on keyboards, Robin DiMaggio on drums and Rob Shirakbari on keyboards and serving as Musical Director.
