Frankie Beverly and Maze All-Star Tribute coming

    Frankie Beverly and MazeSan Francisco, Calif. -- Anthony Beverly and Brantera Music Group, Inc. have signed a deal to produce "I Wanna Thank You...An All-Star Tribute to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly."

    The project is the brainchild of Frankie Beverly's son Anthony Beverly, who, in an effort to properly honor his father's contributions to the music industry, is serving as the executive producer of this ultimate tribute project celebrating his father's accomplishments including 30 hit singles, twelve albums and more than forty years in the music industry.

    Beverly and his production team are planning to assemble some of the most innovative voices in music which have shaped R&B, Jazz and Gospel over the last several decades for one common goal: to pay tribute to a living legend.

    Beverly and his production team are planning to assemble some of the most innovative voices in music which have shaped R&B, Jazz and Gospel over the last several decades for one common goal: to pay tribute to a living legend.

    "With Maze, my father helped shape one of the most influential sounds in modern history," said Beverly.  "I am excited to pay tribute to his legacy by working with artists who embody the spirit, appreciation and vocal talents consistent with the Maze's sound and message."

    In addition to the album, a special commemorative DVD will be produced featuring interviews with the all-star participants, legendary R&B and Jazz recording artists, current and former music industry executives, as well as African American thought and community leaders who will share their personal insights as to how Beverly and Maze impacted the music industry and African American culture. 

    Production is set to begin in early April with an album release date set for summer 2009.

    A special website is under construction for fans and consumers who are interested in keeping up with the ultimate "tribute" project until release --  http://www.frankiebeverlytribute.com/ and will be launched in mid April. 

    The website will include news and information regarding the project and short interviews with album participants direct from the studio.  The website will also feature a video sharing platform to allow fans to upload video testimonies of their favorite Frankie Beverly and Maze experience. A contest will be announced next month to select one fan video that captures the ultimate Frankie Beverly and Maze experience.   Anthony will also author a blog to allow Frankie Beverly and Maze fans an opportunity to share memories and nostalgic moments about the group's legendary concerts across the world.
