(August 28, 2017) Bridging elements of R&B, classic soul, funk and jazz in a hearty mix of Rhythm & Praise, Lisa McClendon transcends with her unique ministry of praising God, such as with her first notable hit, "You Are Holy."  Yet those who have tracked her career since her first full-length fifteen years ago, My Diary, My Life, are quite keen that McClendon is also unhesitant in illustrating life’s struggles and how she overcome them by acknowledging God's grace and glory.  With her first single since dealing with some recent major family changes, McClendon releases a song dedicated to others who have gracefully fought their emotional battles.

“Ms. Tina” (Studio Caffe) propelled by a minimalist R&B soundtrack, is named after Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, who was a major inspiration for McClendon in dealing with her own post-marital situation.  At the same time, McClendon recognizes that God is always her strength:  "Got keep on praying…keep on growing…keep on winning.”  It is always encouraging when an artist such as McClendon boldly presses on to address the human frailties in her musical journey, such as “Ms. Tina,” and follows them up with Godly solutions.
