Mist is a British pianist, songwriter and producer who began releasing his original compositions in 2014. His music blends jazz, hip hop and house vibes and is sometimes supported by guest vocalists. Our featured track finds Mist exploring African rhythms and textures with an assist from Bongeziwe Mabandla, a soulful, South African singer/songwriter. Anchored by a swirling and repeating pattern on electric guitar, it’s an urgent love song sung in Mabandla’s beautiful native language, Xhosa. Enjoy.
