(February 18, 2019) Sometimes, something truly special can come out of seeming tragedy, and that kind of story is being written now by Reverend Dr. Stefanie R. Minatee, who has returned from a 2015 debilitating stroke. “Rev Stef” as she is known has just recorded and released “It’s All About You” with her legendary New Jersey-based community choir, Jubilation, in time for the choir’s 20th anniversary celebration coming this June.
Rev Stef says, “I wanted to write something that would grab the listener and send a message. Gospel music has to be about the message of JESUS CHRIST. If the message is not relevant, then it’s just a song.” The video for the song chronicles her road to recovery, and the song’s lyrics point to the power behind that recovery. Now 100 pounds lighter and with a new vigor, Dr. Minatee is back where she belongs and leading her choir to new heights.
