(January 31, 2023) “Multiply,” by Adi Oasis is some funky real talk about some real-life topic – a woman’s feeling that she wants to have a baby and that she has found the man with whom she wants to share that experience.

Now, there have a few been songs about the joys of childbirth released over the past 50 years or so. The best-known ones, such as Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” and Jodeci’s “Forever My Lady” came from a man’s point of view. And there’s something to be said about a man expressing awe and total devotion to the process of childbirth, his child and to the mother.

Adi Oasis, who came to the attention of SoulTrackers when she released a couple of gems under the name of Adeline in 2021, says that “Multiply” speaks to a unique point a view of a woman who has reached a point in her life where she has a need to start a family.

"’Multiply' is about that very real thing that happens to many women when their hormones start saying ‘I want a baby’. It can be purely hormonal, or desperately romantic. Sometimes it’s both. Of course, men say ‘I want to have your baby’ to women all the time. But I wanted to flip the script, saying it from a position of power, but also from a place of vulnerability.”

Adi Oasis flips the script on a tune that showcases her trademark penchant lyrics that mix humor, wit and sensuality, her angelic and seductive vocals, a deeply funky, bass driven arrangement and a delightfully arousing video. Check it out here.
