(September 17, 2016) We picked him as our Publisher's Artist of the Year a couple years ago, and singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc hasn't slowed down since, always mixing it up and trying something new.

Blacc has covered Michael Jackson's classic "Billie Jean" in concert for years, but now he has released it as an electronically distorted, bluesy rock ballad. It is a very different take from the original, and won't sound a lot like anything you've heard from Aloe Blacc in awhile. The track is part of the new compilation album The Time Is Now, to benefit amfAR, The Foundation For AIDS Research.

This one may be an acquired taste for some - and a flat out miss for others - but it is worth hearing. Check out this new version of an old favorite and tell us what you think.
