First Listen: Aloe Blacc wows us again on "King Is Born"

(July 17, 2017) Sampling the horns from the Ides of March’s “Vehicle” and creating a wall of sound around them, Aloe Blacc bursts out with the first single from his upcoming album, a powerful cut that combines elements of rock, hip hop and R&B into a fantastic confection that we’re digging from the jump.

Like a beast in the jungle
In the heat of the rumble
I ain’t got nothing to lose
I’ve been fighting these hard times
In the ghettos of my mind
Now it’s victory that I choose

As he did with “Ticking Bomb” for his last album, Blacc comes out swinging and gets our fists pumping. We're ready and excited for more.

Check out “King Is Born” below and tell us what you think!
