(September 16, 2020) In this time of serious social discourse following the deaths of George Floyd, Breanna Taylor and others, many artists have expressed their frustration through song. Add to that list Atlanta-based singer and songwriter Anthony Brewer, a talented vocalist made a name for himself as a background for many of Gospel music’s greatest singers, from Marvin Sapp to Yolanda Adams to Brian Courtney Wilson.

On “Ferguson (Too Many),” a single written, arranged and produced by legendary Motown man Jimmy Roach,  Anthony begins with the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and continues by telling stories of the countless other lives lost and cities affected.

It is an affecting song and video that continues to demonstrate the role of song in our world’s discussion of race and justice. Check it out below.
