(February 15, 2020) Emerging soul singer Ashley Scott has dropped his second single to date, and it’s one that’ll have you stepping in the name of love.

Co-written by Will Downing and Whayn Parr, “Dance the Night Away” is accentuated by lush strings, sweet flute flutters and cozy harmonies, all encircling a midtempo groove harnessed by Chicago stepping vibes. And on a closing ad-lib, using his best Howard Hewett-esque crooning, the Philly-based singer-songwriter encourage steppers while on the musical journey: “One, two, three four/Let me see you do some more.”

It’s also charmingly romantic, perfect for a soulful Valentine’s night (and beyond). Get into the groove on this neat First Listen.
