First Listen: ATW asks the lovers' question

(January 10, 2018) Unfortunately, it's a common scenario: you and your boo looked and felt like the perfect couple, your union throwing off so many sparks that others couldn't help wanting to be like you. If the emotion fueling Sara G.'s  and Mykell Messiah's delivery sounds authentic, you're right: in a bid to separate the business from the personal keep fans guessing about their status, one of them went waaaaaay too far in the other direction and got caught. Although it's delivered from a woman's perspective, the way the conflict plays out in the could very well speak for any partner trying to make amends: "I really wish I could go back and 'unhurt' you, nobody's perfect in this, we both got issues/Yeah I messed up, I regret it. I'm invested right now, I'm committed."

Crisply produced and nimbly delivered, "How Can I" is not only an enjoyable debut from a talented team, the single can also give hope to couples wanting to hit the 'reset' button for 2018 and truly live, rather than just look like, #relationshipgoals.
