(October 25, 2022) When it comes to soul music history, stories don't get much richer than Jerry Bell. Though not a household name, Bell has played a huge role in not one, but two major R&B acts, before embarking on a solo career. The brother of legendary R&B singer Archie Bell ("Tighten Up"), Jerry Bell was part of the legendary 70s act New Birth, which scored a string of hits, including the #1 "Wildflower."
In the 80s, after recording a highly regarded solo album, Winter Love Affair, Bell joined another charttopping act, The Dazz Band, which also had a great string of hits for a decade.
For the last three decades, Bell has been a solo act, performing around the world and occasionally recording. For those who have not heard his work, search YouTube, where some of his dynamic performance are on display (for instance, check out his take on Rose Royce's "Wishing On A Star"). Now in 2022, Bell will be releasing a series of singles that meld his soulful crooning with worthy material that both classic and modern soul fans should dig.
