First Listen: Blood Orange & Justine Skye Are “Good For You”

July 23 2019 — The prolific Blood Orange is back again, this time with a delightful new mixtape Angel’s Pulse that while  consisting of separate tracks flows like a single, cool stream.  He displays all of his talents here: the soundscapes and production are luscious, his songwriting is on point, and he anchors most of the tracks with his own tasty electric guitar work, which is a pleasant surprise these days in R&B.

We feature here the track “Good For You,” in which the gifted Justine Skye steps in to assist. Blood’s blurry, distorted guitar lines and Skye’s rich, soulful vocal, both riding atop a deep groove, make some sweet magic together.  Enjoy.
