(June 11, 2021) If you've spent any time on SoulTracks over the years, you've heard plenty of music from the great Conya Doss, a SoulTracks Readers' Choice Award winner and one of the true independent soul music leaders.
We've been hearing previews over the past few months -- including the hit single "Wishful Thinking" -- and they have gotten us and all her fans excited about Conya's upcoming album, Through Rose Colored Glasses, coming out on Sunday, June 13, which just happens to be Conya's birthday.
To share her special day with her longtime fans here at SoulTracks, Conya is giving a sneak peek with the World Premiere of a cut from the album that features none other than the King of Indie Soul, Eric Roberson.
Conya tells us, "Even though I'm releasing this special LP on my birthday June 13th, I've decided to give YOU the fan a present by giving you THE FAN the opportunity to preview this album cut from Through Rose Colored Glasses. The record is titled "It Ain't Easy," and it's a collaboration with my longtime Brother-In-Arms and Brother-In-Soul Mr. ERIC ROBERSON. I thank YOU (longtime fans and new fans) for standing with me for 20 years now, and I appreciate the opportunity to share this piece of art with you all."
