(March 4, 2018) We first heard Detroit-based composer, musician and producer Frank Simmons III three years ago when he issued his excellent debut album The Chocolate Noise Effect. Over the years, Frank has balanced his own solo career with his support work for such artists as jazz trumpeter Lin Rountree.

Frank has now returned with another tasty project featuring Rountree as well as some of the great indie soul vocalists around. Blacksuite is fantastic listening for lovers of both soul music and smooth jazz, and provides some much needed nighttime grooves.
