(March 4, 2019) Any artist wants their music to be as far and widely as possible. In some cases, their music and fame spreads to the ends of the earth. Most never achieve that level of success, yet have the talent, work ethic, charisma and sound to turn a city or a region into their musical piece of the rock. Such is the case for vocalist and songwriter David Hartfield.

Hartfield has made his mark in the Bay Area as a member of a family gospel group, as a lead vocalist who has performed in venues throughout San Francisco and Oakland. Hartfield is now dropping a ballad titled “Special Love” that is reminiscent of the work of late 1980s groups such as Surface in terms of its production techniques, Hartfield’s buttery tenor, and lyrics that put an emphasis on good old fashioned romance. Check it out.
