Dance legend David Morales gives us "Life" with new song

(January 22, 2022) David Morales is a legend in the dance music world, having worked on literally hundreds of projects for artists ranging from Aretha Franklin to Michael Jackson to Whitney Houston. But the native New Yorker has been more sporadic in releasing his own music.

So that all makes his new release “Life is a Song” even more special, part of Morales's first new album in over a decade. With a groove that harkens back to the lush disco/soul anthems of the late 70s, the song calls on listeners to “choose happiness” and appreciate the journey that life brings.

It isn’t a surprise that the song is exquisitely produced and performed, and that it is an absolute earworm. And kudos to singer Michelle Perera, whose bright voice helps the song climb even highter.
