First Listen: Dipo knows there "Ain't No Love"

(February 19, 2019) The power that is within the versatile vocalist can successfully dictate many different moods and paint intriguing musical canvases.  In our latest edition of First Listen, we proudly present a well-rounded talent out of Nigeria.  Singer/songwriter Dipo draws inspirations from some of music’s giants like Stevie Wonder, Teddy Pendergrass and Afro-beat pioneer, Fela Kuti.  His musical palette is quite impressive - whether it’s the joy of seeking love in the right places on his debut in 2010, the Afro-beat driven, “Be Your Man,” or passionately singing the blues about a love going down the tubes for his latest single, “Ain’t No Love.”

No matter what the mood may be, Dipo’s rich voice navigates each and every story line.  The accompanying video for “Ain’t No Love” witnesses a husband and wife sensing their relationship coming to a screeching halt. As Dipo belts out the blues with gusto in a dark bar backed by an intense band, the wife is seen in an empty restaurant, eventually slipping off her wedding ring.

Meanwhile, as we wait for his upcoming project, “Ain’t No Love” unquestionably supplies a knockout punch that showcases one of Dipo’s several musical tools. Check it out below.
