(September 7, 2022) UK DJ/Producer D'jear is slowly building a nice run of chart ripping hits. From his 2018 hit "Let's Do It" to last year's smash single "Show Me," he has effectively worked to build his name, his brand and his Deep Street record label. With all of this recent success, D'jear's latest single "Love is Real" looks to keep the momentum going.
Uptempo dance cuts seem to be D'jear's sweet spot and "Love Is Real" follows in this successful approach. Vocalist Derran Knight is brought along for the musical ride this time around, as he sings a memorable hook about wanting to "hold you tight, and dance under the stars; let's leave all behind and set the love on fire tonight." Musically, this track is strong with the percussion and synths complimenting each other well. It's a gumbo of soul, house and disco that is both sonically familiar and funky.

Until we get a full album from D'jear, these slices of dance music singles will have to hold us. The good news is that with his recent track record, we should not have to wait too much longer for the next serving.
